Doug Voelzke

Doug is the president and owner of Doug’s Custom Paint & Body, Inc. He began his business in 1986 with the help of his father, Harry Voelzke. Doug’s certifications and trainings include I-CAR, MVP, AMI, and Tony Robbins Mastery University. Doug is also a certified ASE master tech. Doug has worked in all aspects of the repair process, and currently manages the business operation. He works diligently in leading his team of professionals to provide the ultimate customer service experience for each and every valued customer. When Doug is not working, he enjoys time with his wife DeAnn and two children, reading, and hunting.

Cory has been a valued member of the Doug’s Custom team since 2006. He also worked for Doug from 1998-2000 while attending Mitchell Technical Institute, where he became a licensed electrician. Cory is our main estimator. He also works closely with the technicians to ensure timely repairs and to heighten correspondence with our customers and their insurance companies. Cory also manages our Aluma Trailer & Hustler Turf Equipment lines. Outside of Doug’s Custom, Cory enjoys time with his wife, April, and their four children. He loves working on mud trucks, riding motorcycles and coaching his children’s activities.

Michelle Oehlerking

Michelle joined our team after graduating from Mitchell Technical Institute’s accounting program in 2008. She is commonly the first person you will talk to when you call or stop here at Doug’s Custom. Michelle helps with estimates and the claim process. She will schedule your repairs and order necessary parts for your vehicle. She also manages the book keeping and storage facilities. In her free time, Michelle enjoys numerous activities with her son, reading & scrapbooking.

Lee started his career with Doug’s Custom Paint & Body, Inc. in 1989. Lee is a highly skilled auto body & paint technician. With more than 25 years of experience, there isn’t a color he can’t match! Currently, Lee is our lead painter and also continues to take on many of the heavy body repairs. Lee is an ASE master tech, and also has numerous certifications with I-CAR, PPG, and Sherwin Williams, just to name a few. Lee’s unique personality & sense of humor keeps the rest of us on our toes! Lee is an avid hunter, bow-hunter, and dirt bike racer.

Dusty joined our team in 2008 after completing the Auto Body Repair & Refinish Technology program at North Dakota State College of Science. Dusty has kept up with vehicle trends with annual I-Car training. He also has certifications from ASE, Dow Automotive & Motorcraft. Dusty works mainly in disassembly and reassembly. His acute attention to detail ensures nothing will be overlooked and all vehicles will be repaired to pre-accident condition. Dusty also enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking, and riding motorcycle.

Adam joined our team in 2007. After graduating from Mitchell High School, he decided to join us full time. Adam has been a significant part of our detail department, making sure all of our “finishing touches” are put into place. Adam now assists Lee with prep and buffing in the paint department and occasionally assists in disassembly and reassembly. He also takes care of our accessory jobs, spray in bed-liners, and assembly of Hustler mowers. In his spare time, Adam enjoys renovating his home, customizing his vehicles, and taking long drives to get away.

Jason Johansen joined us in 2012. In his first few months, Jason learned the basics around the office. We then transitioned him to start learning the ropes of the body shop. Jason has over 15 years of experience in the automotive & parts industries. He is currently a technician in the body department. Jason has certifications from I-CAR, ASE, Dow Automotive & Motorcraft. Jason also assists Cory with setup of the Hustler & Aluma lines. In Jason’s free time he enjoys metal detecting, motorcycle riding, and spending time with his wife Stephanie and three children.

Lee re-joined us in November 2014. He works in the paint department and is quickly taking after his Uncle Lee as a very talented paint technician. Lee also worked in the paint department from 2008-2012. He enjoys riding dirt bikes and motorcycles.

Janelle Thiesse

Janelle joined Doug’s Custom Paint & Body in April of 2016. Janelle brings her creativity to the team in Marketing and Graphic Design. She helps promote and market all areas of Doug’s Custom. Outside of working at Doug’s Custom, Janelle and her husband own and operate Village Pointe Apartments. In her free time, Janelle loves being with her kids and taking them to their sporting activities.

Juan’l Garrett

Juan’L joined Doug’s Custom in June 2017. She assists with answering phones, customer service, and projects around the office. Juan’L also is a full time student pursuing an online psychology degree through the University of North Dakota. When Juan’L has free time,  she enjoys being surrounded by family and friends.
